I made this my twelfth grade year in my video editing class. It is a commercial about something related to school, I chose to do my study hall. It was difficult to make the movie exactly 30 seconds. I wish I would have included a voiceover. Overall I’m really proud of how this project turned out.
I made this video my senior year in my video editing class. One of the things I am best at is Fortnite, in 2021-2022 I will be playing for the GCU fortnite team. I am really proud of the gameplay and quality, I probably should have explained some things about the game first. It was challenging to record all the clips I wanted and get them from my computer to the school computer. Regardless this video was really fun to make.
I made this my senior year in my video editing project. I have always wanted to make a stop motion video and I decided that this was a great time to do it. I am really proud of my drawings and how almost all of it line up. It was pretty difficult to determine the right speed for each frame. I learned that .3 seconds is very efficient. I would add even more frames probably, and spend more time putting clouds or the sun and more details in each frame.
This is a video I made in my video editing class my senior year. I initially had a few plans on how to interview someone, on of my close friends. Unfortunately those plans fell through, so I tried to do something where I interviewed a puppet. This is how it turned out. I’m really proud of the stop motion parts, and the shots of George in the chair could have been better. I would have George give longer answers and be more eloquent.
In my video editing class my senior year we had a snow day and blizzard in which it snowed a ridiculous amount. So as a class it was determined that we would make a blizzard video. I decided to take this type of approach because I felt like the mellow way I presented it works really well for the type of footage I got. I’m really proud of some of my footage and how I was able to get it from some unique angles. It was challenging to try and shoot footage from a few different locations but I had someone to drive me around while I filmed which made some really nice shots. I would spend more time on shots outside of the car definitely, and try and get even more steady shots.
This is my first Video Editing project of 12th grade. It is a small moment video about my cats with various shots of them set to music. I originally planned on narrating this instead of doing a music video but then I came across this song and new that I had to make it a music video. The part I am proudest of is using a relatively unknown song as well as getting shots from the same level as the cats during shooting. It was hard at first to start actually filming but once I did it went really quick and I just whipped my phone out whenever the cats were around. The thing I would spend more time getting shots so I could make them shorter. Then I could include more shots. I hope you enjoy the video!
In today’s world immigrants are viewed poorly. They have almost been villainized in America. The President of our country as well as many right wing politicians seem to view immigrants as fundamentally below them in class. In fact almost all of us have ancestors that are immigrants, the standards set for how to become a citizen were just different then.
Immigrants often get the short straw in today’s society as they are sometimes viewed as people that steal american jobs. This may be true sometimes as they are paid below minimum wage giving business owners incentive to hire them as it would be cheaper. But they aren’t coming here with the intent of stealing jobs.
A comparison could be made between immigrants and the Tutsi people in the movie Hotel Rwanda. This comparison could be drawn as some Americans in our country want the immigrants kicked out, just like the Tutsi people being kicked out of Rwanda. The main difference is that the Hutu people actually started a genocide to get ride of the Tutsis by killing them.
You could also compare immigrants in America to Lennie from of mice and men and the way he is looked down upon because of his disability. Being an immigrant isn’t a disability but it is similar in that you are born in a different country that may not have the same benefits of America, like how Lennie was born with a disability. Trying to immigrate, sometimes illegally is just their way of trying to make their life better, just like Lennie trying to find jobs and work them so he can support himself.
The last comparison I will show you is immigrants compared to the UN’s peacekeepers in Hotel Rwanda. The comparison I made between them is that they are both coming to a country to better a situation but are met with hate. In Hotel Rwanda the peacekeepers are hated by the Hutu army and in real life immigrants are hated by certain political groups. Immigrants are just coming to better their life and should not be looked down upon. They are people just like us, and I believe that a system should be set in place to make illegal immigrants citizens. Also the actions of a few illegal immigrants that have broken laws put a tarnish on them as whole which isn’t ok. So I challenge you to strive to be a better person and not judge groups by the actions of a few.

For my English class I was assigned to write a paper about a controversial topic, I chose to do divorce. I was told to take this from a christian perspective and say why it shows how the world’s sense of morality has degraded. Unfortunately the way I was assigned to write the paper made my paper biased but overall I think that it is still a good paper, I would enjoy if you read it.
I wrote this report on the book the devil in the white city, it was a good book and I hope you enjoy my report.
